I have been doing end-of-the-year testing this week. Please remember to continue to work with your child on letters, sounds, shapes, counting, etc.... If they are doing well with letters/sounds, numbers, counting, etc.... they will have a more positive Kdg. experience with less stress. Read to your child daily, count things when your walking, driving, shopping; ask questions; point this out; let them cook/bake with you. Inviting our children into our everyday life experiences allows them to grow and learn in fun way where they don't even know they are learning.
Special Notes:
*As we all know from the emails coming home from the office, we have many people in our school with Covid. Numbers are increasing everywhere. Please, if your child has ANY symptoms of Covid or if you are not sure if it is a cold or Covid - keep them home. Another nasty bug going around is the stomach flu. We have had some very sick little ones at school with this. Mrs. J and I work very hard every day to do our best in the classroom. We spend a lot of extra time washing hands, wiping down desks 2-3 times a day, spraying doorknobs, light switches, locker doors/handles, etc.... to try to keep the germs away. If your child comes to school sneezing, coughing, blowing and wiping their nose excessively, complaining of a headache/sore throat or body ache they are potentially spreading unwanted germs. It takes each and every one of us to do our best to keep each other safe and healthy. I want everyone healthy for our last full week of school so that we can celebrate our last day at school together.
*Our last day of school is May 25th. This is a half day of school. Our room mom's are working hard to plan a fun day for all of us. Please watch for information coming home. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.
