We have been working hard this week learning about the letter Bb. We have learned the correct way to write Bb, learned the Bb sound, and the "sign" for Bb. Our little ones have been brainstorming words that begin with Bb. We have 13 words on our board. Awesome job Preschool!! Our stories this week have been: Letter "b" and Her Word Box, Pete the Cat Loves His Four Groovy Buttons by Eric Litwin.
We have also been practicing writing our names. You will see name tracing pages coming home once/twice a week. Other games will be helping us to learn to write our names. Please work with your child at home. In Math we have been reviewing our shapes. Our focus is on the circle. A fun song helps us remember how to make a circle. We have been playing "I SPY" in class to find all of the circles in our room. Our little hands need help to develop our muscles. Pegs, lacing cards, beads, playDoh, and other activities are helping our hand muscles to grow stronger.
**Special Notes:
*Please turn in your school forms. Friday is the last day. If I do not have them by this Friday, September 24th, your child will not be able to attend class on Monday, September 27th. Many of you turned your forms in today. THANK YOU, THANK YOU.
*We are working on our scissor skills in class. Please work with your child at home. Practice, practice, practice.
*I have some items posted on the Wish List section of my blog. These items will help our Preschoolers to learn and grow through play. A couple of our wonderful parents have purchased some of these items. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and generosity. It is appreciated more than you know. I will continue to add items throughout the year. Our little ones get so excited when something new is added to our class.
*SNACKS: Please send in a small snack each class period. Some of our Preschoolers are bringing in way too much food and are opening it all, taking a bite of each item and then throwing it away. Some do not have time to finish their snack because they have too much to eat.
